Chef Dario's Work of Art

Chef Dario once said, A job isn't just a job. It's who you are. I've known him as a workmate and a friend for three (3) years. He is Mr. Dario Lleva, 26, Graduated from Lyceum of the Philippines University. Living in Parañaque City. He Loves to travel and explore all the 81 provinces of the Philippines. Known as "Mr. Panot" (Uy Joke lang ha, hehe) Chef de Partie of Italian and Filipino Cuisine at Vikings BF. I would like to feature him in Secret Cravings so I ask him a few questions:

What is your greatest belief and how do you relate it in your job?

"Never stop learning, because life never stops teaching."

So many of us go through life, not seeing life for all that it is, and all that it can be.
Being a lifelong learner brings joy to every day and makes life so much fun.Without being able to go through life, learning from each step along the way, we will never be able to achieve the things we know in our hearts are possible for us to achieve.

What is your purpose in life?

"My purpose in life is to affect people in every positive way I could."

If you’ve had the indulgence of dining at Vikings SM BF for the past three years, then you’ve been fortunate enough to sample a masterpiece at the hands of Our Chef Dario. We recently caught up with the dynamic young man to gain some insight into his formative years.

What is your greatest dream? Did you achieve them already?

"I have achieved few of my dreams already, and still aiming for more.."

Yes! He meant maybe that as long as you're happy, you'll achieve more. Learn to be happy, share happiness and be happy for others. It is not because you already achieved it, you have to stop it already. It also means, you have to live your life to the fullest, enjoy it more and be more of a better person.

Challenges in Life?

"Dealing with all the negativities (no specific but all of us dealing some of it) and how I am going to face and conquer it 😂.."

Tell me about your team?

"My team, we work as one, we take our strength from each and every one of us, if someone is struggling, its our part to help him until we reach our goal, which is to get the job done"

For me Italian and Filipino Station and Vikings SM BF is very proud especially our Executive Sous Chef because Chef Dario is a good leader because he is a good follower and has a goal. He will rectify any shortcomings of one another in their team instead he let them know and learn what you have to do as a chef, he doesn't need to teach them everyday to know what is right or wrong. He is a good leader because he is a good follower. He can decide which is better or not and He doesn't tolerate anyone who is not doing standards in their dishes. As they said: "before you do substandard, you must know what is standard."
